During Hurricane Ike, I pleaded with my mom to leave her house and go to a friends’. She eventually complied, and when she came home the next morning she found this giant tree on top of her house. FEMA luckily came through and she ended up with a much nicer place.

While I was living in Houston, I decided to turn a wall of my bedroom into the last two pages of Sam Keith’s "The Maxx" #1.

To do this, I scanned in the pages of the comic at very high DPI, then cropped out 8×10" pages and printed them out individually. I used Elmer’s Glue and pasted them one at a time to fill the entire wall.

Taking Bee with me to Houston for Christmas and felt it was time for a bath. Stinky dog is stinky.

The final culmination of me and my cousin’s day of sugary goodness. Cupcakes from Hey Cupcake!, Red Velvet and Carrot Cake Cake Jars, and tiny apples from Whole Foods.

Last Thursday I traveled to Round Rock/Austin to hang out with my Cousin for the day to celebrate completing a project for her class that we worked on together. We initially had plans to go out with her teammates, but they flaked. Instead we decided to spend the day doing something we both love: consuming sweets.

First stop was Kawaii Shaved Ice in downtown Round Rock, Texas. They offer about 80 different flavors of sno-cones (or shaved ice). I went for the super-sweet combination, while Candace went for Butterscotch Amaretto. This was the *small*.

The next stop was Wahoo’s Fish Taco’s for their signature dish and to pick up some Cake Jars. After that was to the cupcake truck parked on South Congress, Hey Cupcake! And finally to the downtown Whole Foods to pick up some fruits I’ve never even seen before.

To say it was a good day would be a huge understatement.

Standing on my back porch I noticed how huge and looming my shadow was, so I grabbed the tripod and struck this menacing pose.
